This morning as I was having my quiet time with God, I read through Luke 12 and the verse below really struck out to me:

"There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, 

or hidden that will not be made known. 

What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, 

and what what you have whispered in the ear in the

 inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs." 

Luke 12:2-3

For years growing up I struggled with dishonesty, and if I am not careful by remaining close to the Lord, I fall. Lying caused huge problems in my life, and like with any sin we will never cease to stop 

unless we remain close and fall madly in love with Jesus.

"What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight"

I am reminded of this verse each time temptation comes my way,

Jesus was not joking or being lightly in the verses mentioned above.

"The Lord hates and detests lying tongues" Proverbs 6:17

Be honest about everything Ladies, but more importantly, take it one step further be Integrate.

Wake up each morning with a thankful and cheerful heart. (Even if you don't feel like it!) As you are getting dressed in the morning make sure you also put on a SMILE! God woke us up for a reason! Every day is a blessing from the Lord, not just the weekends. The Lord says,"This is the day He has made, REJOICE and be glad in it!"A new day as been made, a chance to wake up and head to work, a chance to make a difference in this world! 

Above all, a chance to wake up and SEEK Jesus! Oh how blessed are we!

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and

Re-Direct Your Focus

HAPPY MAY 1ST!!! 

I apologize for being absent all last week, 

I was extremely busy with work, work, and WORK! Things have slowed down a bit, but are still pretty chaotic. In the midst of my busy week I was reminded of how important it is to remain focused and faithful to the Lord. At times when we are so busy the first thing to go is our quiet time with the Lord.

"As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, 

he came to a village where a woman named 

Martha opened her home to him.  

She had a sister called Mary, 

who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said.  

But Martha was distracted by all the preparations

 that had to be made. She came to him and asked, 

 "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me

 to do the work by myself?! Tell her to help me!"

"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, 

"you are worried and upset about many things,

 but only one thing is needed.

 Mary has chosen what is better, 

and it will not be taken away from her."

Luke 10:38-41

 

 If you are anything like me, being like Mary is difficult I can relate to Martha. For I am always focused on getting all the items on my check list done, pleasing others, making sure everything is done on time and right. But when I see others not doing what I am doing, I get overwhelmed and starting asking the same thing as Martha, "LORD, DON'T YOU CARE THAT MY SISTER HAS LEFT ME TO DO THE WORK BY MYSELF? TELL HER TO HELP ME!"

Being a Type-A personality, having a check list, working hard, and pleasing others is not the problem, God honors those things. The problem is when you place those things before God. None of those things matter, NONE. But your walk with God is the most important. That is what Martha failed to realize.

Do not be like Martha, caught up in what is around her and the things that need to get done. Instead be like Mary, who sits at the Lord's feet listening intently at what the Lord is saying.
